Our Coaches

Chris Northern, PA-C, CSCS


Chris Northern has been a Certified Physician Assistant with training and 16 years experience in both Orthopedics/Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He also obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in 2019. He enjoys helping people become stronger by combining his knowledge and experience in medicine with a love of barbell training and coaching. He is also a veteran of the US Marine Corps infantry, a volunteer youth football coach, a competitive amateur power lifter, a dad to 3 awesome kids, and a husband to a supportive and loving wife.

Logan Grant, coaching intern

Logan Grant is a college sophomore at UW Platteville and is currently studying biology and sports training and management. He is also an accomplished athlete as a part of the 2019 Class 4A football state champion Richmond Burton Rockets where he played nose tackle. He will continue his football career playing college football this season at UW Platteville. Logan is also a state record holding power lifter with the American Powerlifting Association with personal best lifts in competition of 575 pound squat, a 620 pound deadlift, and a 315 pound bench press at 18 years of age.


Wade Jackson, MS, CSCS

Coach Wade Jackson is teaming up with Nothern Barbell with the exciting new Speed/ Agility Class. Wade brings with him an education that includes Bachelor's in Athletic Training and Masters in Strength and Conditioning from Northern Illinois. He also has Collegiate playing experience in both Football and Baseball. Wade also has over 20 yrs experience working both individual and group camps ages 6 up through collegiate levels in Football ,Basketball and Baseball specializing in speed/ agility and sports specific skills development.
